OPTAGE Inc. (hereinafter "OPTAGE"), Internet Multifeed Co. (hereinafter "Internet Multifeed", operating IX services as "JPNAP"), Japan Internet Xing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "JPIX"), and BBIX, Inc. (hereinafter "BBIX") announced today that Internet Multifeed, JPIX, and BBIX will establish Internet Exchange (IX) Points at the "OPTAGE Sonezaki Data Center (hereinafter 'OC1')" which OPTAGE is currently constructing near the Shinsaibashi and Dojima areas, the central locations for public cloud access points in the Kansai region, starting from January 2026*.

Along with the recent proliferation of high-definition video streaming services, the deployment of various generative AI-based services is expected, which will lead to a continuous increase in internet traffic. A low-latency and stable internet connection is essential for business operations.
In response to this situation, Internet Multifeed, JPIX, and BBIX have decided to establish connection points for their respective IX services at "OC1" which OPTAGE is currently constructing within a 3km radius of the Shinsaibashi and Dojima areas, the central locations for public cloud access points in the Kansai region, starting from January 2026.
With the establishment of these connection points, "OC1" will offer stable and high-quality services as an urban connectivity data center, providing user companies with an optimal network point for connecting with various domestic and international operators. Additionally, OPTAGE will offer customers discounts on cross-connect fees connecting their racks to IX services within "OC1" as the respective connections become operational.
