OPTAGE Inc. (Chuo-ku, Osaka City) announced today that we will establish the Kansai Electric Power Group's first container-type data center for generative AI in Mihama-cho, Fukui Prefecture, by the end of FY2026. This facility will offer customers dedicated "AI Training GPU Servers" equipped with high-performance GPU chips. The data center will be powered entirely by CO2-free (zero) electricity derived from nuclear energy, contributing to the realization of a zero-carbon society.This enables us to provide one-stop AI infrastructure by leveraging the Urban Connectivity Data Center (OC1), scheduled to open in Osaka City in January 2026, and our proprietary high-quality fiber optic communication network.

In recent years, generative AI has been utilized across a wide range of fields, including image generation, natural language processing, and data analysis, with its application rapidly advancing to support societal development. Particularly, "AI Training GPU Servers" used for machine learning require advanced computing capabilities, making it essential to use high-performance machines that consume significantly more power compared to ordinary servers.Therefore, the establishment of AI data centers housing GPU servers and the provision of GPU server functionalities such as cloud and hosting services are expanding in suburban areas, where flexible power and land procurement are more feasible compared to urban areas.
Along with this background, our company has received numerous inquiries from customers regarding the installation and use of GPU servers prior to the establishment of the Urban Connectivity Data Center (OC1) scheduled for January 2026.To promote AI utilization, as a company providing social infrastructure, we have decided to establish a container-type data center for generative AI in a suburban area and provide exclusive "AI Training GPU Servers."

OPTAGE will construct a suburban container-type data center for generative AI and provide dedicated "AI Training GPU Servers."In addition, by providing and maintaining high-quality communication network using our own fiber optic network and an urban connectivity data center suitable for installing "AI Inference GPU Servers" as AI infrastructure, it will be possible to offer a one-stop provision of AI infrastructure to companies that aim to solve business issues and grow their businesses by utilizing large volumes of highly sensitive data for AI learning and inference.

1.Suburban Container-Type Data Center

We will establish a container-type data center for generative AI in Mihama-cho, Fukui Prefecture, which can be established and expanded more flexibly compared to large-scale data centers.

• Operation Start: Within FY 2026
• Construction site (Prefix): Mihama-cho, Fukui Prefecture
• Facilities：Facilities specialized for " AI Training GPU Servers" installation, including container housing and liquid-cooled cooling facilities *Detailed specifications will be announced at a later date.
• Power Supply：Utilizing 100% CO2-free (zero) electricity derived from nuclear power, contributing to the realization of a zero-carbon society through Green Transformation (GX).

2.Provision of Dedicated "AI Training GPU Servers"

The container-type data center will be equipped with high-performance GPU servers best suited for AI training.

• Liquid-cooled GPU servers with high-performance GPU chips *Detailed specifications will be announced at a later date
• Enables physical server occupancy (bare metal) to achieve advanced security environments
• No server maintenance or operation is required by customers.

3.High-Quality Communication Network

Network connections to the container-type data center can be made using various communication services provided by our company, including secure private network connections and internet connections.

• High-speed and stable communication services using our proprietary fiber optics across the entire network
• Communication infrastructure maintenance and operation system with more than 30 years of experience

4.Urban Connectivity Data Center

Scheduled to establish in January 2026 in Osaka City, the "OPTAGE Sonezaki Data Center (OC1)" will offer an environment highly suitable for AI inference, in addition to excellent external connectivity.
