OPTAGE Enhances Connectivity at Osaka Sonezaki Data Center (OC1) Launching the Japan-Singapore International Telecommunications Business with Submarine Cables

Newly Adding DCI Services Connecting OC1, the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, and Singapore to Meet Growing International Data Transmission Needs of Enterprises

September 19,2025

OPTAGE Inc.

OPTAGE Inc. (Chuo-ku, Osaka) has decided to launch a global DCI (Data Center Interconnection) service utilizing international submarine cables between Japan and Singapore, starting in fiscal year 2028, in order to enhance connectivity at OC1 and address the increasing international data traffic driven by the spread of AI and cloud services. Prior to this, a domestic DCI service—connecting OC1 and major data centers in the Tokyo metropolitan area via an all-optical network (service name: All-Optical Connect (AOC))—will be launched in January 2026, when OC1 opens. OPTAGE will offer end-to-end connectivity from OC1 to Singapore as a one-stop service.
This DCI service will offer ultra-high-speed leased line options at 100Gbps and 400Gbps.

All-Optical Connect (AOC)

In recent years, the rapid advancement of AI and cloud services has led to an increase in international data traffic. As a result, demand for stable international communication networks is growing to enhance corporate convenience and resilience. Given this background, we have received numerous inquiries from domestic and international customers regarding international communication network needs ahead of the opening and operation of OC1, which is scheduled for January 2026. In response, we have decided to launch a global DCI service between Japan and Singapore (scheduled to launch in FY2028). The domestic area connecting OC1 and major data centers in the Tokyo metropolitan area will utilize a newly designed railway route, and will be provided as the “AOC” domestic DCI service with an all-optical network (scheduled to launch in January 2026). By offering ultra-high-speed leased line options at 100Gbps and 400Gbps, this DCI service will significantly enhance OC1’s connectivity and meet the needs of enterprise international communication networks.
