What is "Informative data"?

By using cookie to accumulate information about customers’ website browsing history, purchase history on e-commerce sites, etc., we can use this collected information as "informative data" to analyze customer interests and preferences. However, this data does not include personally identifiable information or the secrecy of communications obtained by intermediating telecommunications.

The informative data includes the following contents.

(1) Cookie ID (a code assigned each time cookie is sent by a website)
(2) The URL of the web page visited by the customer's device (browser)
(3) Classification and analysis results of website pages viewed by the customer’s terminal (browser)
(4) The history of the websites visited, the pages of the websites viewed, and other transitions and actions by the customer's device (browser)
(5) Information related to the terminal, device, etc., and browser on which the customer used the target site (including domain, IP address, line type, OS, and browser type)
(6) Referrer information (the URL of the page of the external site that the customer passed through just before viewing the target site)
(7) Advertising identifiers, such as IDFA and Google Play Advertising ID
(These are identifiers for advertising distribution issued to each terminal, device, etc., in environments where cookies are not saved, such as mobile applications. IDFA is an identifier for advertising distribution issued to iOS devices, and Google Play advertising ID is issued to Android devices.)

The following are the purposes of use for, and recipients of, informative data.

Data Management Platform (DMP) Utilization

We utilize the following DMPs. Our website acquires and analyzes customer informative data by incorporating cookies (e.g., third-party cookies) provided by DMP operators.
The DMP collects and stores web browsing history, and this browsing history also includes information on other websites affiliated with the DMP operator (third-party data); however, this does not include personal information.
We receive data, such as on customer interests, estimated by the DMP operator based on browsing history and other factors. This is combined with customers’ personal information and other data we retain, and this is then used for the following purposes.
Customers can stop services, such as data provision and advertisement distribution from the DMP operator, by implementing the opt-out procedure provided by the DMP operator.
The details of the DMP we use and the opt-out procedures are given below.

※We analyze information obtained from customers, such as browsing history and purchase history, for websites and mobile applications we provide, and we use the results to deliver product and service information tailored to customers’ interests. When using information obtained from some other partner company that suggests customer’s interests (personal related information) through linkage of said information with that customer’s personal information already in our possession, we will obtain the consent of the customer in advance and use the information within the scope of the purposes of use listed above.
