Handling of Personal Information in Security Service Business

1. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

(1) We use the personal information that customers provide when applying for our services, and when making contracts with us, within the scope necessary to conduct the following 14 business functions.
1. Concluding and carrying out home security service contracts
2. Identifying and confirming parties applying for contracts, the identities of parties signing contracts, and emergency contact information of those signing contracts
3. Registering, changing, and confirming contract information
4. Confirming billing, payment, and receipt of contract fees
5. Installing security equipment, performing its maintenance, inspection, and repair, and conducting after-sales service
6. Improving products and services and developing new ones
7. Sending contract-related documents and notices
8. Sending information on our services and products
9. Sending our products
10. Sending of prizes etc. associated with the implementation of campaigns etc.
11. Conducting customer satisfaction surveys (questionnaires) and after-sales service
12. Responding to customer inquiries and requests
13. Conduct property insurance agency business
14. Other activities related to the above business functions

(a) Provision of home security services, (b) Distribution service for remote monitoring information such as home security using telecommunications lines, (c) Design, installation, sales, rental, and maintenance of home security-related equipment, (d) Home security-related surveying, research, and consulting, (e) Design, installation, sales, rental, and maintenance of remote monitoring systems for shared equipment in collective housing, (f) Work related to security and maintenance of buildings, special events, and property, (g) Work related to surveying, consulting, and guidance in matters of guarding and safety, (h) Safety management, maintenance inspection, and cleaning of buildings, incidental facilities, equipment, etc., and related work, (i) Work related to intermediation of emergency communications by telephone, (j) Sales, mediation, and installation of equipment, materials, etc. that predict disasters such as theft and fire, (k) Work related to owning, leasing, and maintenance of real estate, (l) Information provision services, (m) Construction of telecommunications business and related equipment as stipulated in the Telecommunications Business Act, (n) Property insurance agency work, (o) Any business incidental to or related to the preceding items

(2) In addition to the aforementioned purposes of use, we use personal information within the scope necessary to conduct the following work related to the business of Kansai Electric Power Group companies (see Note).
1. Sending information, questionnaires, prizes, etc., in relation to products and services of Kansai Electric Power Group companies via phone, email, post, or other medium
2. Improving Kansai Electric Power Group companies’ products and services or developing new products and services
3. Carrying out other work related to the business enumerated above
In addition, even after our various contracts with customers have ended, we may use personal information within the scope of the purposes of use stipulated above.

(Note) “Kansai Electric Power Group companies” refers to Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., Kansai Electric Power’s consolidated subsidiaries, equity method affiliates, and related companies designated by Kansai Electric Power (including future changes). 2. Outsourcing the Handling of Personal Information

Within the scope of the purpose of use described in 1. above, we may outsource personal information to external parties.

3. Voluntary Provision of Personal Information

Providing personal information is voluntary basis. However, if sufficient information is not provided, it may interfere with our service provision.

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

(1) We may provide personal information (excluding matters related to communication secrecy and medical matters) that we hold to Kansai Electric Power Group companies via networks, etc., in order to provide various services offered by Kansai Electric Power Group companies, develop and improve products and services, conduct various surveys and analyses for service improvement, respond to inquiries, and other related tasks. Please note that we will promptly stop providing personal information to Kansai Electric Power Group companies upon request from our customers.

(2) In addition to (1) above, we may disclose and provide the personal information that we hold in the cases below.

1. When we have the prior consent of the customer.
2. When all or part of the handling of personal information is entrusted within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
3. When there is a request for disclosure from public institutions such as courts, prosecutors' offices, and police agencies based on laws and regulations
4. When providing personal information in conjunction with the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons, and handling the personal information within the scope of the purpose of use before the succession.
5. When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the customer.
6. When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of sound child development, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the customer.
7. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national institution or local public entity, or a person entrusted by them, in performing the affairs stipulated by laws and regulations, and there is a risk that obtaining the consent of the customer may hinder the performance of the affairs.
