Megaport and OPTAGE sign collaboration agreement in the data center field

~ Establishment of Megaport's connection point at OPTAGE's Shinsaibashi POP ~

Megaport (Headquarters: Australia, CEO: Michael Reid) and OPTAGE Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President and Representative Director: Masahiko Nabe, hereinafter referred to as "OPTAGE") have entered into a collaboration agreement to provide multi-cloud and inter-data center connectivity services. Based on this collaboration agreement, OPTAGE will establish a connection point for Megaport at the Shinsaibashi POP (Point Of Presence), where it plans to start services, on April 1, 2024 (Monday).

Megaport is a multi-cloud connection service that allows easy, fast, flexible, and secure connections to over 850 data centers worldwide and over 360 service providers, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Salesforce. By using Megaport, you can easily achieve connection to various cloud services, flexible bandwidth adjustment, cost reduction, rapid deployment, and enhanced data security.

OPTAGE is scheduled to open the connectivity area "Shinsaibashi POP" in the convenient and reliable Shinsaibashi Data Center on March 29 (Friday) of this year. Shinsaibashi POP is located in a close location to the Dojima area/Shinsaibashi area, which is a hub for IX and cloud connection points in Kansai. According to customer needs, we will provide an environment where these points can be connected with low latency and stability by utilizing our own optical fiber.

With this collaboration agreement, customers using Shinsaibashi POP can easily connect to major data centers and various public clouds around the world, not just the Dojima area/Shinsaibashi area, by using Megaport services. Both companies will work together to enhance synergy and support the efficiency and global expansion of our customers' businesses.
